Frequently asked questions:

How many images do I get?

There is 1 retouched image included with the price of your session. Additional retouched images can be purchased for $65/ea and have a 7-10 day turnaround.

How long does the session take?

The session will last as long as it takes us to get images you you love. 2 hours are typically allotted to your session so we have plenty of time to create amazing new headshots for you.

What should I wear?

The short answer is: Whatever you feel you look your best in.

If you don’t absolutely love what you are wearing, it will show in your photographs and will drastically affect the outcome of the images.

Here are a few other pro-tips:

  • Don’t wear anything with stripes, busy patterns or prints.

  • If you are unsure about an article of clothing, bring it with you so we can look at it together. More is better than not enough in this case.

  • Make sure that whatever you bring is clean and ready to go. Men, iron your shirts or get them dry-cleaned. Women, steam your clothes beforehand, or the night before.

  • If you don’t have anything to wear, go shipping. Just leave the tags on so you can return it when you’re done if you don’t want to keep it.

What the heck should I do with my hair?

Just show up with your hair done however it is that you normally do it. You want to look like yourself in your headshots, not a caricature of yourself.

Do I need makeup?

It is not a requirement, but I do highly recommend professional makeup artist services for all my female clients. Regardless of how good you are at your makeup a professional makeup artist knows how to apply makeup for photographs and will always yield better end results.

Add-on makeup artist services are $160 and are paid in cash directly to the makeup artist the day of your session.

For my male clients. If you’ve been talking to another photographer and they have recommended makeup to you, RUN. Run away as fast as you can. There are always exceptions to the rule, but as a general rule I do not recommend makeup to men.

What should I do about my facial hair?

Ladies, if your upper lip has a tendency to get fuzzy, go get it waxed a couple of days before your session. Trust me, you will be much happier with the results. There is not much that the camera doesn’t see and with the lighting and the high-resolution of the camera, peach-fuzz is no exception.

Men, if you’re rockin’ a giant, messy, and unkept beard and you are not in a biker gang or it is not a part of your brand, trim that sucker! Go to a barber if you have to. If you are not sure whether or not to shave it off just show up with it trimmed, and bring your favorite shaving equipment in case you change your mind half way through.
